Research

I’m interested in, among other things, geothermal power, novel methods of pandemic prevention, and the British Antarctic Territory (BAT).

  • Why FORGE Works. An investigation of the US goverment’s geothermal field laboratory, conducted for the Institute for Progress (2024). Read it here.

  • Surfaces that inhibit fomite transmission. A report into self-sterilising surfaces, and sprays that sterilise surfaces, conducted for Blueprint Biosecurity (2023). A public-facing version of this research was published by Asimov Press, available here.

  • Some of my (fairly eccentric) thinking on the BAT is summarised in my Palladium essay on that same topic. It is only very preliminary work, though, and I’d welcome collaboration.
